Background: Astad received his B. Tech degree from the University of Madras and an MBA from Rutgers University.
He has had a successful career in private industry holding positions of Vice President and President in small to medium size companies. His experience covered Human Resources, Labor Relations, Marketing and Finance. His key strengths lie in Project Management, Conflict Resolution, Ethics & Legal issues, Analytical skills, Employee relations and Customer orientation.
COI & Financial Disclosure Experience: Since 2009 Astad has worked as a Consultant for the Ethics Offices of several UN Agencies primarily for the Financial Disclosure Programs.
In 2010 Astad joined the Hudson-Ethics Consulting team and reviewed UNICEF Financial Disclosures for the review periods 2007 through 2009. From 2011 to 2017 he was an independent consultant with the Ethics Office at UNICEF and served under three Principal Advisors – Mary Roodkowsky, Suomi Sakai and Ursula Wellen. He designed and set up the Financial Disclosure review process including the disclosure form and subsequently wrote the specifications and requirements for the new on-line Conflict of Interest & Financial Disclosure (CIFDP) system which was implemented by the IT division.
From 2012 to 2019 Astad continued to work with Hudson-Ethics Consulting and reviewed financial disclosure statements for UNOPS, WFP, FAO and conducted the verification process for UNFPA. In 2020 Astad formed the successor company Hudson Ethics 2 with himself as Principal. Since 2020 Astad has added WIPO, IOM and UNHCR to HE2's client list.
Background: Fran has a BS degree in Accounting with a concentration in Auditing/Forensic Accountancy and a Master’s in Business Administration. He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), a Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA), and has the Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) designation. He also holds BA degrees in History and Religion.
Fran has worked in education, sales, and extensively in the financial services industry (banking, insurance, wealth management) in the United States of America and overseas in retail banking, credit, collections, commercial lending, commercial mortgage, residential mortgage, back office consumer and corporate bank operations, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), wealth management, and for many years in auditing; for large, complex, private and public companies including three Fortune 50 companies.
United Nations, COI, and Financial Disclosure Experience: Fran worked as an Audit Specialist for Latin America and the Caribbean for UNDP and UNFPA at the UNDP Regional Audit Office in Panama City, Panama from 2002 to 2003. From 2009 to present Fran has worked with Hudson- Ethics Consulting and Hudson Ethics 2 as a Financial Disclosure Analyst. He has reviewed financial disclosure questionnaires and statements to identify the appearance of potential and/or actual conflicts of interest for WFP. Fran is fluent in English and Spanish.
Background: Robin has a BA degree in Administrative and Commercial Studies and an MBA with specialization in Human Resources. She also holds the Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR), Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designations. Robin has held progressive Human Resource managerial positions with broad experience in a variety of industries, including legal, education, not-for-profit, international, and more. She has also spent several years working as an Office Manager, with responsibilities in finance, IT, and administration.
COI and Financial Disclosure Experience: From 2009 to present Robin has worked with Hudson- Ethics Consulting and Hudson Ethics 2 as a Financial Disclosure Analyst. She has conducted extensive reviews of financial disclosure statements to identify the appearance or existence of conflicts of interest for UNICEF, UNOPS, IFAD and FAO. She has also developed final reports for clients and worked with them on process improvements.
Background: Angela graduated from the University of Delaware with a BA in Criminal Justice and a MA in Criminology. She also received a certification as Consecutive and Simultaneous Conference Interpreter from a yearlong seminar from the Dept. of Linguistics from University of Delaware as well. Angela has worked for a high-profile government agency in Panama City, Panama in the design, implementation and coordination of programs related to drug prevention, parenting skills, and women empowerment.
She has taught junior college classes for 4 years, including classes in criminal justice, ethics, and sociology. Angela was part of Human Resources team that managed the reorganization process after mergers which included conducting seminars and individualized coaching for staff members that were let go as a result of downsizing.

Background: Isabel holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Valencia, Spain. She also a PhD in Marketing and Market Research from the University of Valencia and American University. Isabel has diverse industry experience including UN and other international agencies, governments and private sector companies in the fields of health, tourism, textile and logistics. She has strong technical and analytical skills with experience in statistical tools and knowledge management.
COI and Financial Disclosure Experience: Since 2014 Isabel has been with Hudson-Ethics Consulting and Hudson Ethics 2. She has been responsible for the administrative and technical aspects of organizing the backend structure for the review process. In addition, she has conducted the verification process for UNFPA and reviewed the financial disclosure statements for UNOPS, IFAD and FAO. Isabel is fluent in Spanish, English and Valencian.
